Events

We host a number of different events whose purpose is to offer a variety of ways for schools to network and learn from each other about how best to develop independent, metacognitive, self-regulating learners. Our annual ‘Festival of Metacognition’ conference allows practitioners from all over the world the opportunity to hear from cutting edge researchers as well as experienced classroom teachers about the latest theoretical and practical ideas. Our ‘Metacognition Meets’ are regional events that give both members of our network and others, the opportunity to visit a local 'Thinking School' and share pedagogy and practice. Likewise our regular webinars and online meetings give insights in how schools can tie in their work developing independent learners into other areas of the curriculum and the demands of inspectorates.
